L A N G U A G E O F C O L O R recap

The language of color video teaches about the color theory, best practices, and application when it comes to design. An important reference point for all designers is the color wheel. The color wheel is composed by three major colors which are called Primary, those are Red, blue, and yellow. These colors are the basis for all other colors. Hue, saturation, and value are important components of color. Hue is color, saturation and value deal with the variation of the color as in how dark or bright it is. Designers should also be aware of RGB and CMYK and its different functions. RGB works for digital projects and CMYK for print. The video also teaches about the qualities of building attractive color schemes and palettes.  One example is using complementary colors that stand on opposite ends of color wheel. The video also emphasizes the importance of color and how it can stimulate a mood or hold meaning.
